Long overdue updates

As it turns out, maintaining one website is a lot easier than maintaining two. Most of my time and energy has understandably gone into deadparentswhatnow.com, given the new book. But I’m trying to get back over here!

Here’s what you’ve missed while I was away:

My Parents Are Dead: What Now? A Panic-Free Guide to the Practicalities of Death is going to be an audiobook! Narrated by me! Out everywhere you get audiobooks May 26, but you can preorder now.

Publications: An anticapitalist but death positive reading list in Electric Literature, an excerpt of the book in Salon, and an automotive ghost story in TalkDeath. Maybe someday I’ll write fiction again?

Podcast appearances: Cleaning out your dead parent’s stuff on WNYC’s All of It with Alison Stewart, dead parent-related financial conundrums on Money Life with Chuck Jaffe, the inevitability of death on This Podcast is a Ritual, dream interpretations on Marquis & Eric Dream of…Another Gay Podcast, and what to do with your dead parent’s gun collection on InRangeTV.

I’ve already read more than 20 books this year. I’ll have to figure out how to manage that recap. And I missed annotating my Winter 2025/26 and Spring 2026 playlists. What can I say? I’m a busy woman!

Getting busier by the minute, too. Much more is on the way. I’ll try to do a better job of keeping you posted.
